When adjustment failed:
"Cannot Setup" is displayed. In this case, follow the next
steps.
1) Press any key of the printer.
The screen returns to that in Step 3.
2) Check for correct media setting position, media, active
sensor, etc. and repeat from Step 3.
8. Press any key of the printer.
Then, the obtained value is saved into the printer and the screen returns to Step 3.
9. To continue other adjustment, proceed to (2-2).
To terminate the adjustment, go to the next step.
10. Press the [PAUSE] ( ) key to return to "Factory Setup" menu.
11. Press the [PAUSE] ( ) key once again.
The changed value is saved in the printer and the printer is turned OFF and then
ON for normal operation.

(2-2) Init Refl Sen sensitivity adjustment

"Init Refl Sen" is the submenu for adjusting the sensitivity of the "SA Adjust Sensor L"
(reflective sensor).
Preparation:
Open the "SA Cover" and set media (label media with black mark or tag media with
black mark).
When label media with black mark is used:
1. Prepare recommended label media or label media to be used.
2. Peel off a label from the liner.
3. Set the label media and be sure that it is correctly set against the "SA Adjust
Sensor L" (reflective sensor). In this case, keep away the black mark from the "SA
Adjust Sensor L".
4. Close the "SA Cover".
When tag media with black mark is used:
1. Prepare recommended tag media or tag media to be used.
2. Set the tag media (or continuous tag media) and be sure that it is set against the
"SA Adjust Sensor L" (reflective sensor). In this case, keep away the black mark
from the "SA Adjust Sensor L".
3. Close the "SA Cover".
Procedure:
1. Enter Factory/Service mode by turning on the power while pressing and holding the
[MENU], [FEED] and [STOP] keys.
"Factory Setup" main menu appears.
