4-2-3. Problems in Printing

Symptoms
No print
Checks
1. Is the head block securely closed?
2. Is the "SA2 Head" over heated?
In this case, the LCD indicates "Alarm
Head Hot".
3. Is the error "Error System Fail"
displayed on the LCD?
4. Is the interface cable firmly connected
between the printer and the host?
5. Is the "SA Head Cable" firmly connected
between the "SA2 Head" and the "SA
Main PCB" (J4)?
6. Does the transparent/reflective sensor
detect presence of media?
7. Is +24V supplied to pins 5, 6 and 7 of
J14 on the "SA Main PCB"?
[SA Main PCB]
8. "SA2 Head" is broken.
9. Failure in the head driver circuit.
10. Failure in the control circuit.
1. Close the head block correctly.
2. Wait until the "SA2 Head" gets
cool. Printing resumes
automatically.
3. Turn OFF the power and then turn
it ON. (The thermistor of the "SA2
Head" detected abnormally high
temperature.)
4. Connect it firmly.
5. Connect it firmly.
6. To check it, see
Problems".
7. Replace the "SA Power Supply".
8. Replace the "SA2 Head" .
9. Replace the "SA2 Head" .
10. Replace the "SA Main PCB".
