Using USB Device Mode

Using USB Device Mode
You can use a video camera or microphone connected to the HD Visual Communication Unit as a video camera
or microphone for calls in general conference applications installed on a computer.
Note
Use the activation key of the PC Peripheral (KX-VCZ501) to enable USB Device Mode. Also, refer to
"Setting the USB Device Mode (Page 132)" to switch modes and configure related settings.
You cannot make or receive calls while in USB Device Mode
standby mode.
You cannot connect a USB memory device to the USB jack and use it while in USB Device Mode

USB Device Mode is when "USB Device Mode" is set to "ON" (Page 133), regardless of whether or not the unit is connected
to a computer.

Note
Make sure to use the proprietary USB conversion cable (PGWD1933ZAJ1) included with the activation
key (KX-VCZ501).
