"Auto" (default): Obtain the IP address
information automatically.
"Manual": Set the IP address information
manually.
Note
To select "Auto", "IP Address (LAN
1)" (setting) must be set to "Auto".
The DNS server setting is necessary to use
the following features.
Call by specifying the host name
Setting the SIP server or gatekeeper
address by host name
Checking for software updates
Downloading the latest version over the
network
"Primary DNS Server": Enter the IP address of the
primary DNS server.
"Secondary DNS Server": Enter the IP address of
the secondary DNS server.
Note
"Primary DNS Server" and "Secondary
DNS Server" can be entered only if "DNS
Server" is set to "Manual".
If the value for "Primary DNS Server" or
"Secondary DNS Server" contains 1 or 2
digits numbers, enter these numbers as
they are. Do not enter like [.001].
Example: The IP address is [192.168.0.1].
Correct entry: [192.168.0.1]
Wrong entry: [192.168.000.001]
"LAN Mode (LAN 1)": Press [ENTER] and use
[
][
] to select the LAN mode.
"1 Gbps (Auto)": Negotiates with the other
party to determine the LAN mode. The
maximum setting is 1 Gbps (full duplex).
"1 Gbps (Fix)": Fixes the LAN mode to 1 Gbps
(full duplex).
"100 Mbps (Auto)" (default): Negotiates with
the other party to determine the LAN mode. The
maximum setting is 100 Mbps (full duplex).
"100 Mbps (Fix)": Fixes the LAN mode to 100
Mbps (full duplex).
"10 Mbps (Fix)": Fixes the LAN mode to 10
Mbps (full duplex).
Note
This setting is only displayed for the
KX-VC2000.

Match settings according to the hub or
router to be connected.
When "10 Mbps (Fix)" is set, set the "Max.
Bandwidth" of "Call set up" to 10 Mbps or
lower (Page 122).

If the settings for LAN1 are changed: Press [G].
A dialogue box to confirm the saving of settings
is displayed. Save the settings.
To set IPv6: Press [R].
The second page is displayed.
To set LAN2: Press [R] twice, and then proceed to
step 6.

Note
For the KX-VC1000/KX-VC1300, "IPv6
(LAN 1)", "IPv6 Address (LAN
1)" (setting), "IPv6 Address (LAN 1)" and
"Prefix length (LAN 1)" are respectively
displayed as "IPv6", "IPv6
Address" (setting), "IPv6 Address", and
"Prefix length".

Use [

] to select the following items for input:
"IPv6 (LAN 1)": Select "ON" or "OFF" (default).
Note
When "ON" is selected, both the IPv4
address and IPv6 address will be displayed
on the unit information screen. On the upper
right of the home screen, only the IPv4
address is displayed.
"IPv6 Address (LAN 1)" (setting): Select whether
the IPv6 address will be obtained automatically or
will be set manually.
"Auto (SLAAC)" (default): Automatically
obtains IP address information from the router.
"Auto (DHCP)": Automatically obtains IP
address information from the DHCP server.
"Manual": IP address information is set
manually.
Note
When "Auto (DHCP)" is set, the default
gateway address is obtained from the RA
(router advertisement).
Even if "Auto (SLAAC)" or "Auto
(DHCP)" is set, in some cases the IP
address information cannot be obtained
