Probable cause
Action
• Close vtLite if used via the USB port.
• Check cable connection.
• Disconnect USB or RS-232 cable, and
reconnect.
• On PC, open Phone and Modem options and
check whether USB Modem driver is
connected to COM port. If not:
1. Remove Modem in Phone and Modem
options.
2. Remove previous USB installations via
Control Panel > System > Hardware >
Device Manager. Double-click universal
serial Bus Controller and uninstall the USB
universal Host Controller. Warning!
Removes all USB drivers.
3. Start again from paragraph 6.5.3 PC setup.
• It is not possible to use the RS-232 port if the
modem on the receiver side is not an ISDN
modem.
• Check the phone number, user name and
password with your service provider.
• Check whether 64/12/ kbps data UDI is
commissioned.
• Using vtLite Mobile, check configuration in the
Device Manager.
• Remember to add # as last digit, e.g. 28#.
• Instead of "#" try to enter 902 in front of the
telephone number, e.g. 902 28#.
• Remove vtLite Mobile and USB drivers, see
problem 1.
• Reinstall vtLite Mobile.
• Check properties > options > idle time before
hang up.
• Use AT + WS45 = 1 to set port back to normal
mode
