Mobile Data Service (ISDN)

6.5.1 PPP modem via ISDN
The Mobile Data Service complies with the communication protocol defined by
the Inmarsat Fleet system.
The transmission data rate over the satellite link is 64/128 kbps for FELCOM 70.
The Mobile Data Service offers connection to the international ISDN/PSTN
network.
The service is suitable for applications such as highspeed file transfer,
store-and-forward video, e-mail and internet.
(PPP = Point-to-Point Protocol).
Note: 128 kbps ISDN Mobile Data Service is optional function. To install this
function, consult with FURUNO dealer.
