If a Protect Error Message Appears
When Optional User ROM is Installed in the CPU
The program of the internal RAM cannot be modified using the programming tool and
a "protect error" occurs.
Operation 1
Turn off the power supply of the PLC, remove the CPU and set the SW2 of DIP switches
(operation condition switches) on CPU to the "off (internal RAM)" position.
Operation 2
Modify the program of the internal RAM using the programming tool.
Operation 3
Save the modified program to the memory or master memory and start operation again.
If the Program Memory is Protected
Operation
Turn off the power of the PLC, remove the CPU and set the SW3 of DIP switches (opera-
tion condition switches) on CPU to "off (write enabled)" position.
When a Password Function is Used
Operation
1.
On the "Online" menu, select "Online Edit Mode".
2.
On the "Tool" menu, select "Set PLC Password".
3.
Enter the password and select "unprotect".
