Select function for switch output.
• Off
• On

Off
Meaning of the options
• Off
The output is always open (non-conductive).
• On
The output is always closed (conductive).
• Diagnostic behavior
The output is normally closed and is only opened if a diagnostic event is present. The
Assign diagnostic behavior parameter (→  169) determines for which type of event
the output is opened.
• Limit
The output is normally closed and is only opened if a measured variable exceeds or falls
below a defined limit. The limit values are defined by the following parameters:
– Assign limit (→  169)
– Switch-on value (→  170)
– Switch-off value (→  171)
• Digital Output
The switching state of the output tracks the output value of a DI function block. The
function block is selected in the Assign status parameter (→  168).
The Off and On options can be used to simulate the switch output.
 Setup → Advanced setup → Switch output → Assign status
Switch output function (→  168) = Digital Output
Select device status for switch output.
