Viewing the Switch's Current CDP Configuration

Syntax: show cdp
Lists the switch's global and per-port CDP configura­
tion.
This example shows the default CDP configuration.
Viewing the Switch's Current CDP Neighbors Table
Devices are listed by the port on which they were detected.
Syntax: show cdp neighbors
[detail]
[port-number]
CDP Enable/Disable on the Switch
Packet Hold Time in CDP Neighbors Table
Interval for Transmitting Outbound
CDP Packets on All Ports
Per-Port CDP Enable/Disable
Lists the neighboring CDP devices the switch
detects, with a subset of the information collected
from CDP packets (port number, device identifi­
cation, platform name, and device capability) .
For more on this topic, refer to table 14-4, "CDP
Neighbors Data" on page 14-67.
Provides a larger set of details on the CDP-aware
devices the switch detects. This includes the
switch's port number, a device identifier, the
address type (IP), the actual address, the plat-
form name, the device capability (such as "S" for
"switch"), and the port number and software
version in the connected device.
Lists the details for the CDP-aware device con­
nected to a single port. (Allows one port.)
