Installation and Removal of the Supervisor Cards

Installing the Supervisor Cards

The Cisco RFGW-10 UEQAM has vertical chassis slots that are numbered from left to right. The
Supervisor Cards can be installed only in Slot 1 and/or 2.
Caution
During this procedure, wear grounding wrist-straps to avoid ESD damage to the card. Do not directly
touch the backplane with your hand or any metal tool. This could result in an electric shock.
Caution
To prevent ESD damage, handle the Supervisor Cards by the carrier edges only.
To install a Supervisor Card in a Cisco RFGW-10 UEQAM chassis, do the following:
Step 1
Take necessary precautions to prevent ESD damage as described in the
Installation
Step 2
Ensure that you have enough clearance to accommodate any interface equipment that you will connect
directly to the Supervisor Card ports.
Step 3
Loosen the captive installation screws that secure the Supervisor blank panel or the existing Supervisor
Card (whichever is present).
Step 4
Remove the Supervisor blank panel or the existing Supervisor Card from Slot 1 or 2 as shown in
Figure
