Hosting Videoconferences

More than a room system, some models of the Scopia XT Series also include an embedded
MCU, which enables you to host videoconferences of more than two participants locally,
without the use of an external MCU (see
This functionality is only enabled when you purchase the optional MCU license, enabling you
to locally host a videoconference of up to four or nine participants, depending on your license
(see the Scopia XT Series Administrator Guide for more information about the embedded MCU
and licenses).
The following Scopia XT Series models are capable of locally hosting a videoconference:
