If hydrochloric acid, HCl, is used as a cleaning agent when columns are connected to the system,
the HCl concentration should not exceed 0.1 M in the pressure sensors. Remember that the
ÄKTA avant system has pressure sensors in the column valve V9-C.
For other parts of the system up to 1 M HCl is acceptable for short periods of use. See
chemicals, on page 181
