ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY

ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE CABLE FREE
PLAY
NOTE:
Prior to adjusting the throttle cable free play, the
engine idling speed should be adjusted.
1. Measure:
S throttle cable free play a
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Throttle cable free play (at the
flange of the throttle grip)

2. Adjust:
S throttle cable free play
NOTE:
When the throttle is opened, the accelerator
cable 1 is pulled.
Carburetor side
a. Remove the rider seat and fuel tank.
Refer to "SEATS AND SIDE COVERS" and
"FUEL TANK".
b. Loosen the locknut 2 on the decelerator
cable.
c. Turn the adjusting nut 3 in direction a or b
to take up any slack on the decelerator cable.
d. Loosen the locknut 4 on the accelerator
cable.
