5. Relay unit (fuel pump relay)
S Disconnect the relay unit from the coupler.
S Connect the pocket tester (Ω
tery (12 V) to the relay unit terminals as
shown.
Battery positive terminal ! red/black
Battery negative terminal ! blue/red
Tester positive probe ! red/black
Tester negative probe ! blue/black
S Does the fuel pump relay have continuity be-
tween red/black and blue/black?
YES

6. Fuel pump resistance
S Disconnect the fuel pump coupler from the
wire harness.
S Connect the pocket tester (Ω
pump coupler (fuel pump side) as shown.
Tester positive probe ! black/blue
Tester negative probe ! black

Replace the relay
unit.

S Measure the fuel pump resistance.

7. Wiring
S Check the entire fuel pump system's wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM".
S Is the fuel pump system's wiring properly
connected and without defects?
YES
Replace the ignitor
unit.
