The microcontroller-based MC board (Figure 3-4) provides overall system
control. The MC board monitors the activity of all the other system modules
and provides commands to these modules based on user and system input.
The MC board also acts as the bus controller for all subsystem
communications using the intermodule communications bus (ICB).
