Enter the Smart Media Path ((ex) temp\dsc): SKIP
Enter the Smart Media file name ((ex)young.txt): STARTUP.SYS

4.2 CPLD Programming

The Complex Programmable Logic Devices(CPLD) is programmed as the final configuration at
the time of the shipment. After the shipment, the contents of the CPLD can be changed.
In OfficeServ 7100, the parts of Lattice(CPLD) are used, and the methods to program each
of them are different, thus attention should be paid.
Lattice: Complex Programmable Logic Devices(CPLD)
Altera: Erasable Programmable Logic Devices(EPLD)
4.2.1 Lattice CPLD Programming
This part describes the method to program when using the CPLD of Lattice.
4.2.1.1 Preparation
Prepare the following items to install the CPLD program of Lattice.
Data to be programmed(The file name should be the *.JED form.)
PC which supports the parallel port
Target board to be programmed(It should be connected via the 10-pin connector.)
Cable kit for programming
4.2.1.2 Connecting the PC to the Target CPLD
Connect the parallel port(LPT1) of the PC to the 10 pin connector of the target board by
using the programming cable kit which has been made specially.
