3.4.7.3 When the Tone Is Not Heard
The method to solve the problem when the tone is not heard in the 8COMBO port is as
follows:
Check the voltage between TIP-RING.
Is the voltage -30 V or more?
Yes
Check if the HOS signal
becomes ACTIVE in SMC.
Is HOS detected?
Yes
Check if the tone signal is generated
in the PIN3 of CODEC.
Is the tone generated?
Yes
Check or repair the SBS9401 output.
Is the time slot signal generated?
Yes
Is the signal generated
from HWR?
Yes
Replace CODEC.
