3.4.8.3 When the Tone Is Not Heard
The method to solve the problem when the tone is not heard in the 16SLI2/16MWSLI port
is as follows:
Check the voltage
between TIP-RING.
Is the voltage -30 V or more?
Yes
Check if the HOS(CD1) signal
of U10 becomes ACTIVE.
Is HOS detected?
Yes
Check if the tone signal is
generated in PIN22 of 58Q021.
Is the tone generated?
Yes
Check U13(CPLD).
Is the Codec Control signal
generated?
Yes
Is the signal generated
from HWR?
Yes
Replace CODEC

- Check PIN2 and PSU of LE79555.
No
- ee descriptions of '4.5.2 When the
Power Is Not Supplied'.
No
Check LE79555 and Ring Generator.
No
Replace SLAC(58Q021).
No
- Check the related signals.
(Clock, Address/Data Bus)

Repair the highway of the MP40
board and the mother board.
