MII Port
BCM5325E supports MII port and can be connected to the EMAC interface of the processor.
By connecting the(Reversed MII port) PHY chip, this can be used as the 6
mode can be set to BCM5325E pin #4(RVMII_EN) pin, and(Normal MII port in case of
Low, High in 4SWM), it is available by setting RvMII Mode bist of MII1 port state
override Register(Page 0x00: address 0x0E). In 4SWM, it is used as the 6
BCM5241KMLG PHY chip of Broadcom is connected to enter the LAN port of MP10/MP11
and connected to the switch module.
Management of BCM5241, PHY chip connected to BCM5325 is performed through
BCM5325 Management Data I/O(MDIO) and Management Data Clock(MDC).
MDC is 2.5 MHz Clock signal and is provided as BCM5241 in BCM5325. Through MDIO,
the registers of BCM5241 are transmitted. In the processor, if Register Page 0x18(MII Port
External PHY Register) of BCM5325E is controlled, BCM5325E access BCM5241
automatically through MDC/MDIO pin.
Power Over Ethernet Control Block
Power over Ethernet(PoE) supplies 48 V to the device of the counterpart through the LAN
cable of RJ-45. This can be classified into Power Sourcing Equipment(PSE) that supplies
the power and Powered Device(PD), and GLIMP operates as PSE. The basic function of
PSE is PD detection, classification, power supply, PD disconnect, and power management.
4SWM uses PD64004, 4CH PoE Manager of PowerDsine, to perform the PSE function,
and operates in Auto mode, which is not controlled by MCU.
The main features of the PD64004 Auto mode are as follows:

Programmable over voltage and under voltage disconnection
The PoE function is provided only by the four switch ports connected to the front panel.
