2.5.4.2 Major Features
The 2BRM module uses ISDN Subscriber Access Controller(ISAC) chip(PEB3086) by
Infeneon Inc. The ISAC chip carrying out the most operation of the 2BRM module is the
four-wire S/T interface and implements the ISDN transfer control with the S-bus interface
on one ship.
Full duplex 2B+1D S/T interface transceiver based on Consultative Committee on
International Telegraphy and Telephony(CCITT) I.430
Frame conversion between S/T interface and ISDN Oriented Modular(IOM)
Receive timing recovery according to a specific operation mode
D-channel access
Activation and deactivation procedures(automatic wake-up in power-down state)
Layout between 2BRM and UNI
The 2BRM is a daughter board mounted on the UNI board and interfaces with the primary
side 16-pin connector and the secondary side 100-pin connector. The ISAC chip connects
the highway signal and the control signal to CPLD of the UNI board via 100-pin connector
and the primary side signal to the 2BRM module via the 16-pin connector of the UNI board.
