Overview of Send Operations

The machine can send scanned documents as e-mail or I-fax messages, or via networks to printers
for printing, or to databases or file servers for storage. Also, the machine can send the documents to
a box for later processing.
You can specify the resolution level and file format of the documents you send. The machine can
also send documents in color, and enables you to make whatever settings are required for the print-
ing environment at the receiving end.
You can also send documents in different formats, such as e-mail and I-fax, at the same time.
This chapter describes the basic steps for sending a document, entering the send settings and the
recipient address(es), and also introduces you to some useful features that make sending more con-
venient. Frequently used scan settings and addresses can be stored to reduce effort. In addition, the
machine provides powerful address book functions that enable you to set up groups of recipients
and send documents in a variety of formats simultaneously.
