When the job is next to be printed, place the
specified paper in the stack bypass.
Place the necessary number of sheets in the
tray with the copying side up, then insert the
paper along the slide guides until it stops.
The Specify Stack Bypass Size and Paper
Select screens appear. Select the size and type
of paper you are using.
IMPORTANT
• For large paper sizes, extend the auxiliary tray.
• Make sure that the height of the paper does not
exceed the stack height limit
• When copying using the stack bypass, a paper
jam will occur easily if the paper stock is curled.
So make sure to straighten any curled paper
stock as shown before placing it in the stack
bypass.
• Before copying manually onto the reverse side of
a sheet that has already been copied on one
side, straighten any curled edges, then place the
sheet in the stack bypass with the blank side up.
• When adding paper to the stack bypass, first
remove any remaining paper still in the stack
bypass, then place all of the paper back into the
stack bypass at one time.
NOTE
• For instructions on loading envelopes, see "Using
the Stack Bypass," in the Maintenance Guide.
