Entering Characters Using the Touch Panel Display

To enter characters on screens requiring input of alphanumeric characters, such as names and
recipient addresses, use the keys on the keyboard in the touch panel display.
To enter numeric values, you can also use the keyboard in the touch panel display.
NOTE
• Switch input modes from the drop-down list box. Press the drop-down list box and select mode from the
list.
• If a text box has more than 1 line, press [
• When you want to enter a space, press [Space].

Entering Alphanumeric Characters
Example: To enter "Canon"

Press the input mode drop-down list box and
select [Alphanum.].
NOTE
• To enter capital characters, press the [Shift] key.

Enter the letters "Canon."
NOTE
• To delete a mistake, press the [Backspace] key,
then enter the correct character.
• You can also delete all characters you have
entered by pressing the
] to move to the next line.
Clear
key.
