Select the type of the image file you are
sending from the drop-down list box.
If TIFF/JPEG is selected:
Sends monochrome images in TIFF format.
Sends color images in JPEG (JFIF) format.
If MTIFF (Multi-page TIFF/PDF) is selected:
Places multiple images within a single file.
Sends monochrome images in MTIFF format.
Sends color images in PDF format.
If PDF/PDF is selected:
Sends scanned images in PDF format.
Multiple images can be placed in a single
PDF file.
NOTE
• To view an MTIFF file it is necessary to have an
application that supports MTIFF (such as Imag-
ing for Windows).
• To view a PDF file, it is necessary to have Acro-
bat Reader.
• When sending more than 50 pages of images in
PDF format, be sure to select "Save as ..." and
check "Optimize" to resave the file if you are
using Acrobat to edit the file, before sending
them.
• File names for attached images are appended
automatically.
