The Communications Icon

The communications icon is located to the right of the patient mode in the display screen. It has
five possible states shown the table below. If all connectivity is disabled, no icon is displayed.
State
Wireless connected
Wireless not connected
Failed
Ethernet connected
Ethernet disconnected
No icon
You can select the Communications icon to:
Access the Wireless menu.
View preconfigured WiFi access points, connection details, paired devices or distribution
lists.
Set up a temporary WiFi access point or Bluetooth connection.
Use the navigation keys to select the Communications icon.

Description
Wireless connectivity is active using WiFi, Bluetooth, or USB cellular
modem. For WiFi, this is the normal operating state. For Bluetooth or
cellular modem, this icon appears only when a transmission is
requested.
Wireless connectivity is inactive. If a WiFi access point is selected, this
icon indicates the selected network cannot connect due to incorrect
configuration or weak/no signal strength. If the unit is configured to use
Bluetooth or cellular modem, the unit will show this icon until a
transmission is requested.
Communications hardware has failed.
Ethernet connectivity is active.
Ethernet connectivity is present and enabled, but not currently
connected. Wireless connectivity (if installed) is disabled.
All connectivity is disabled.
