If installed, the Propaq MD unit can send data through an Ethernet connection or a wireless
connection to remote locations. It can send 12-lead report snapshots (including trend data) to a
recipient via a ZOLL server. Full disclosure cases, which also contain trend data, can be
automatically retrieved from the Propaq MD unit using ZOLL RescueNet or ePCR software.
The unit is equipped to communicate through a WiFi access point, Bluetooth-equipped device,
Ethernet cable, or USB cellular modem.
You can set up a Bluetooth pairing or temporary wireless access point on the Propaq MD unit
by selecting the Communications icon on the display screen. Supervisors can set up permanent
WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or Cellular profiles (up to 255) in the Setup/Communications menu,
which requires a password.
Once you have set up a connection, you can send 12-lead reports to an email or fax recipient.
Data can also be retrieved automatically using ZOLL RescueNet or ePCR software.
This chapter provides information on the Propaq MD unit's networked communications
capabilities. For information on transferring patient data to a USB storage device, see
Chapter 21, "Patient Data" on page 21-1.
