Connect the power cables

Turn off the breakers in the power distribution unit to reduce the shock hazard. Failure to
comply could result in minor or moderate injury.
1. Turn off the breakers in the power distribution unit at the bottom of the laser rack.
2. Attach a power cable from the power distribution unit to each laser module in the laser rack,
starting at the bottom.
3. Attach a power cable from the wall socket to the laser system network switch.

Connect Ethernet cables to the laser modules

1. Attach a shielded Ethernet cable from the laser system network switch to the Ethernet
connector on the back of each laser module.

Connect fiber optic cables to the laser modules

This procedure requires a fiberscope.
Failure to comply with the following could result in death or serious injury.
• Invisible infrared LED radiation might be emitted from disconnected fibers or connectors.
• The laser module breakers must be turned off when installing or inspecting fiber optic
• The key from the laser rack key switch must be removed to install the fiber optic cables.
