ENGINE DISASSEMBLY

The procedure for engine disassembly is sequentially ex-
plained in the following steps.
• Remove the valve inspection caps
• Remove the spark plug.
• Remove the valve timing inspection plug and generator
cover cap.
• Rotate the crankshaft and align the "T" line
generator rotor with the mark
• Remove the cylinder head cover
NOTE:
If the cylinder head cover does not come off, lightly tap on
the finless portion of it with a plastic mallet to make the
gasketed joint loose.
• Remove the rubber cap
end of cam chain tension adjuster with the flat-head
screwdriver in the clockwise direction and lock the
push rod.
• Remove

• Remove the camshaft end cap
• Flatten the lock washer and remove the camshaft
sprocket bolts.
