3-17 ENGINE
• Remove the gearshift cam stopper.
• Remove the crankcase bolts.
• Separate the left and right crankcases using the special
tool.
09920-13120: Crankcase separator
NOTE:
* Fit the crankcase separator, so that the tool arms are in
parallel with the side of crankcase.
* The crankshaft and transmission components should re-
main in the left crankcase half.
* When separating the crankcase, tap the end of the coun-
tershaft with a plastic mallet.
* Remove the O-ring
• Remove the shim , washer and balancer shaft driv-
en gear
• Remove the washer
