User-Defined Input Calibration - User-defined ("Custom") EIS inputs require calibration to convert
from raw input values (typically voltage or frequency) to calibrated values for display. Note that the
displayed number on the gauge will be dashed out if the input value exceeds the limits of the user-defined
calibration. This can be avoided by entering calibration points that exceed the expected input range
Example - User-Defined Electronic Ignition Advance Gauge – The following two screenshots are an
example of a user-defined engine gauge used to display the timing advance for an electronic ignition which
outputs 0.01 V/deg. In this example the gauge spans from 0 to 45 degrees of timing advance with tick
marks at 20 degrees and 40 degrees.
