System Architecture

The flexibility of the G3X system allows the installer to determine the architecture that best fits each
installation.
Figure 2-1 illustrates an example block diagram of a G3X installation using GDU 37X LRUs. Only one
GDU 37X display is required, but up to three may be used.
Figure 2-2 illustrates an example block diagram of a G3X installation using GDU 4XX LRUs. Only one
GDU 4XX display is required, but up to four may be used.
NOTE
A G3X system installation can use either GDU 37X or GDU 45X/46X displays, but a G3X
system installation cannot use both GDU 37X and GDU 45X/46X displays simultaneously.
In a G3X system, only one attitude/air data unit (GSU 25 or GSU 73) is required, but up three may be used.
Up to two standby flight displays (G5) may also be connected to provide additional sources of redundant
attitude/air data.
