NOTE:
Use transceiver modules for the fiber ports provided by Hewlett Packard Enterprise only. The router
might be incompatible with transceiver modules from other vendors. The system generates an alarm
when a transceiver module from another vendor is installed.

SPE/OAP

HPE HSR6800 routers support the service processing engine (SPE). Based on the open application
platform (OAP), the SPE can provide multiple services. For more information about the SPE and
OAP, see relevant datasheet.

HIM/MIM

HPE HSR6800 routers support HIMs and MIMs. Both HIMs and MIMs provide Ethernet ports and E1
