Controlling use of this machine with the authentication unit (IC card

An authentication unit (IC card type) can be used with this machine to per-

form authentication. The authentication unit (IC card type) authenticates us-

ers by reading the information registered on their IC card.

Card Authentication: Authentication is performed simply by positioning

the IC card.

Card Authentication + Password: Authentication is performed by posi-

tioning the IC card and entering the password.

To log on by entering the user name and password without using the au-

thentication unit, touch [ID & PW].

To use card authentication, register the card information in advance.

For details on specifying authentication settings for the authentication

unit (IC card type) and on registering IC card information, refer to the

manual provided with the authentication unit (IC card type).
