11.0 Pacer Test

Fluke Impulse 7000 DP Analyzer (or equivalent)
Equipment
Do This...
11.1 On the Analyzer, select the PACER
function per test equipment instructions.
11.2 On the Analyzer, press F2 to select
PACER JACKS, then press F5 (Done) to
measure pulse.
11.3 Connect the MFC connector to the
Analyzer.
11.4 On the Propaq unit, apply power to the
unit using a battery or an AC adapter.
11.5 On the Propaq unit, press the PACER
button.
11.6 On the Propaq unit, use the navigation
keys to do the following:
•Set Rate to 30.
•Set Mode to Fixed.
•Set Output to 10.
•Select Start Pacer.
11.7 On the Impulse 7000 DP Analyzer,
record the following:
•pulse rate
•pacer amplitude output
•pacer pulse width
11.8 On the Propaq unit, use the navigation
keys to do the following:
•Set Rate to 180.
•Set Output to 140.
11.9 On the Impulse 7000 DP Analyzer,
record the following:
•pulse rate
•pacer amplitude output
•pacer pulse width
11.10 Select Turn Pacer Off.

Maintenance Tests
Observe This...
•Pacer Rate PPM
(28.5ppm-31.5ppm)
•Pacer amplitude output
(5mA-15mA)
•Pacer pulse width (38ms to 42ms)
Note: If an ECG FAULT message
displays when leads are not
attached, it is normal.
•Pacer Rate PPM
(162ppm-198ppm)
•Pacer amplitude output
(133mA-147mA)
•Pacer pulse width (38ms to 42ms)
