INSPECTION
Inspect the following:

Cam chain guide sprocket [1] for wear or damage

Cam chain guide sprocket spindle [2J for wear or
damage

Spindle journal [11 for abnormal wear or damage
INSTALLATION
Apply engine oil to the cam chain guide sprocket

sliding surface.
Install
the
spindle to the left
crankcase,
hold the
sprocket

and lighten the spindle to the specified
torque.
TORQUE:

N-m (1.0 kgf-m

Assemble the crankcase (page
12-17).
CRANKCASE ASSEMBLY
Clean off the sealant from the left and right crankcase
mating surfaces.
