FLAMMABLE WALLS: the installation of the appliance next to flammable
walls P is only permitted where suitable insulation and non-combustible
protective material is used.
In order to insulate the appliance and correctly install the cladding,
construct a supporting wall made of non-flammable material (e.g.
plasterboard) placing a thermal insulation layer L with thickness of 3
cm between this supporting wall and the flammable wall P.
Always leave a 5 cm air interspace between the appliance and
supporting wall. (Fig. 15)
NON-FLAMMABLE WALLS: always leave a 5 cm air interspace between
the appliance and wall Q. (Fig. 16)
Ceiling
FLAMMABLE CEILING: where there is a flammable ceiling R, create a
false ceiling S using non-flammable material with at least 8 cm thick
thermal insulation. (Fig. 17)
There must be a minimum distance of 20 cm between false ceiling S
and connection to the flue.
NON-FLAMMABLE CEILING: there must be a minimum distance of 20
cm between the ceiling and connection to the flue. (Fig. 17)
a
Reference to minimum ceiling distance denotes the distance
between connection to the flue and any other element located
above (e.g. beams).

Where the ground or flooring consists of flammable materials, it must
be protected by a 3 cm thick thermal insulation layer.
