5.3 MULTIFUOCO SySTEM

• Thanks to Piazzetta technology and R&D, this pellet appliance offers
the advantages of the "Multifuoco system", a system EXCLUSIVE to
and PATENTED by Gruppo Piazzetta S.p.A.
Brand new within the pellet heat generator sector.
• Multifuoco System revolutionises all ventilated hot air diffusion
systems currently associated with pellet heat generators: not only is
the heat produced by the fireside distributed from bottom-up within
the room, but it is also possible to channel this heat, via a Ø 75 mm
flexible pipe, to diffuse the hot air into adjacent rooms (Fig. 36).
• This exclusive floor heat diffusion system has the significant advantage
of even temperature distribution (Fig. 37).
• The hot air produced is driven by two fans and exits into the room via
the grille located at the front, bottom part of the appliance.
Instructions for channeling hot air
• With the pellet insert, it is possible, by installing one of the two
optional connectors (for back or bottom connection), to withdraw the
hot air outflow and channel it into other rooms using flexible pipes
with diameter of 75.
a
Only the left fan is able to oversee channeling.
• Before installing the insert, prepare and carry out the channeling and
attempt bringing the flexible pipe to the back, left installation area of
the product.
• The channeling connector kits are designed with a sliding connection
to enable the extraction of the pellet insert in order to carry out
maintenance operations and to load pellets.
• Pipes with Ø 75 mm, coated as per the details in sub-paragraph "Wall
and flooring channeling" ensure optimal performance.
a
The outlet, when channeling, must not be closed in order to
avoid overheating.
Wall and flooring channeling - Fig. 39 ÷ 42
For effective channeled heat distribution, you must:
- Coat the pipe with insulating sheath 2 cm thick (e.g. mineral fibre,
ceramic fibre, rock fibre) in order to limit dispersions and to ensure an
adequately high air temperature.
The insulating sheath must have a specific weight equal to or greater
than 50 kg/m³ with a minimum operational temperature limit of at
least 250°C.
Thermal conductivity λ (100°C) ≤ 0.050 W/mK.
The thermal insulation materials must have "AGI Q132" or "DIN
18895" labels.
- The total maximum length of the fan outflow flexible pipe must not
exceed 8 metres.
a
If the insulation material does not form part of flooring or
walls, it will be necessary to fix it to the surface using fixing
points spaced out at 30 cm intervals.
Opposite are some flexible pipe wall and flooring arrangement examples.
