6.21 INSERT ExTRACTION

The IP pellet insert is designed so that it can be extracted "like a drawer"
so that it is possible to access the back of the appliance to carry out
maintenance and/or repair operations. The product is equipped with a
safety system which stops accidental movements.
The HAND-GRIP [A], which is supplied as standard, must be used to
unhook and extract the appliance, by carrying out the following:
- open the door, see paragraph "OPENING DOOR";
- insert the hand-grip "hook" side into the hole present in any one of
the identical "safety closures" [C], positioned under the fireside inlet;
- CAREFULLY pull the hand-grip towards yourself and gently
downwards, the safety element should release and now begin with
the extraction of the fireside. Should this fail, gently push the fireside
before pulling on the hand-grip; this should facilitate the release.
To replace the product, simply CAREFULLY push the extracted part, until
you hear a "click" sound which indicates that the safety elements is
back in place. This operation can also be carried out subsequent to
closing the door.
a
The appliance rails are equipped with strong stops which
govern travel; we recommend that you do not pull or push
with force the sliding parts and "stop" the movement during
the final stages of product extraction and re-insertion.

6.22 dISPOSAL OF AShES

Ash from natural (non-treated) wood burned in stoves or open fireboxes is composed mainly of calcium, silicon, potassium and magnesium oxides.
The ashes can therefore be used as a fertiliser for plants or in the garden, albeit not exceeding 2,6 kg per 10 m² annually.
a
The ashes should be placed in a metal container with a sealed cover. The sealed container should be placed on a noncombustible
surface at a safe distance from combustible materials until the cinders have been completely extinguished.
d
Only when they have been fully extinguished can the ashes be thrown away with organic waste, assuming that nails or other non-
organic material are not present.
