Paper Curls

Perform one of the following solutions according to the cause.
<Cause 1> Damp paper is used.
Replace the paper with new paper in an unopened package.
Solution 1
"Precautions for Paper"
Perform the following procedure in the printer driver when you are using plain paper (60 to 90 g/m²).
1. Display the [Paper Source] sheet.
Solution 2
2. Set [Paper Type] to [Plain L].
Perform the following procedure in the printer driver when you are using plain paper (60 to 90 g/m²).
1. Display the [Finishing] sheet.
2. Click [Advanced Settings].
3. Set [Special Print Mode [Plain Paper]] to [Mode 1].
You can specify the same setting from the printer's control panel.
Solution 3
"[Setup] Menu ([User Maintenance] Options)"
If [Plain Ppr. Curl Corr] is set to [Mode 1] or [Mode 2], the toner may not fix onto paper well, and
the printing may come out faint.
Normally, use the printer with [Plain Ppr. Curl Corr] set to [Off]. Specify [Mode 1] or [Mode 2] only if
the described problems occur.
If you specify [Mode 1], printing speed drops.
If you specify [Mode 2], printing speed drops compared to when specifying [Mode 1].
<Cause 2> Appropriate paper is not being used.
Replace the paper with that which can be used with this printer.
Solution

<Cause 3> Paper that curls easily is output to the output tray.
Switch to the sub-output tray when printing transparencies, labels, or envelopes.
