STARTER MOTOR CHECK

If a fault has been diagnosed in the starter motor, it is
necessary to proceed as follows with the check:
• Connect a tester between earth and the starter
motor terminal.
• Check that there is continuity between the positive
pole and the engine earth. If there is no continuity,
substitute the starter motor.

Substitute the O-ring with a new one to avoid
oil leakage and the ingress of humidity.
• Apply grease to the oil seal lip.
• Apply a small quantity of MOLYKOTE to the rotor
shaft.
• Apply a small quantity of LOCTITE 243 to the bolts
of the starter motor.
