System Administrator Settings

The System Administrator Settings menu is used to set the system administrator login
ID and passcode. A new login ID and passcode is recommended to prevent users from
making unauthorized changes and to ensure system security.

System Administrator Login ID

The System Administrator s Login ID can be from 1 to 32 characters.
Note
The default system administrator Login ID is admin, and the default passcode is 1111.
1. Log in as the administrator.
2. Press the Tools button on the Control Panel.
3. Select the Tools icon on the screen.
4. Select Authentication/Security Settings > System Administrator Settings > System
Administrator Login ID.
The System Administrator Login ID screen is displayed.
5. Select On.
6. Select Keyboard, then in the New System Administrator Login ID entry field, type a
system administrator login ID.
7. Select Save.
You must reenter the login ID information a second time.
8. Select Keyboard once more, and in the Re-enter System Administrator Login ID field,
type the same system administrator login ID.
9. Select Save.
10. Exit the administrator mode.

System Administrator Passcode

Set the passcode for the system administration mode. The passcode is used to access
the control panel when Passcode Entry from Control Panel is set to On. A passcode must
be entered for local account login. However, a passcode must always be entered when
accessing either remotely or from the network.
Tip
This is recommended for stronger security.
Note
The default setting of the system administrator passcode is 1111.
