STEERING ASSEMBLY OVERHAUL

To operate on the steering assembly, it is necessary to
remove the fork stems as described in this chapter, in
the paragraph "Front fork overhaul".
Then remove the components according to
the following order:
- front headlight;
- instrument panel;
- handlebars;
- headlight support;
as described in chapter C "Bodywork".
Steering head removal

Slacken the fixing screw (1) of the steering head and

remove it from the steering pin.
Steering base removal
Utilising the special tool, slacken the screw ring of the
steering pin.
Support the motorcycle sufficiently enough so that the
front stand can be removed. Ensure that the brake pin-
cers are securely placed.
