V.CYLINDER & PISTON
INSPECTION PISTON/PISTON RING
Disassemble the piston rings.
Disassemble:
1.Top Ring [A]
2.Second ring [B]
3.Oil ring set [C]
NOTE
Take care not to damage or break the piston rings during
removal.
Clean the grooves for carbon deposit completely.
Measure the piston ring-to-groove clearance
with a feeler gauge.
SERVICE LIMITS:
TOP: 0.07㎜
SECOND: 0.07㎜
Remove the piston rings insert each piston ring into the
cylinder with the piston and measure the ring end gap in
the cylinder to a point 10 ㎜(0.4in) from the bottom.
Use the piston head to push each piston ring into the
cylinder.
SERVICE LIMITS : 0.5 ㎜
