    CPI MOTOR GTR180 V.CYLINDER & PISTON SERVICE INFORMATION GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS The cylinder and piston can be serviced with the engine installed in the frame. When installing the cylinder, use a new cylinder gasket and make sure that the dowel pins are correctly installed.

    CPI MOTOR GTR180 V.CYLINDER & PISTON TROUBLESHOOTING When hard starting or poor performance at low speed occurs, check the crankcase breather for white smoke. If white smoke is found, it means that the piston rings are worn, stuck or broken.

Drain the coolant before starting any operations. Use carefully when removing and installing the oil pump not to allow dust and foreign matters to enter the engine and oil line.

    CPI MOTOR GTR180 VI.OIL PUMP REMOVAL Change engine oil ATTENTION!!! Please drain the engine oil when the warm engine which can assure the engine oil is smooth. Put the dish under the engine, disassemble the drain plug bolt to drain engine oil. If drain plug bolt washer is damaged, it must change new one.

Coolant in the radiator and water jacket must be drained first. When assembling, apply molybdenum disulfide grease or engine oil to the valve guide movable parts and valve arm sliding surfaces for initial lubrication.
