8. Measure the end play of the pinion shaft. If the
end play exceeds the assembly standard, adjust
it on the internal gear side.

Assembly Standard ... 0.2–0.8 [0.008–0.031]
9. Install the magnetic switch. Apply a voltage of 24
volts between the C and E terminals. Connect the
lead wire and energize the circuit between the M
and E terminals (within 1 setond). After the pinion
has shifted, measure retraction length of the pin-
ion. If the measurement is not within 2.5 to 5.5
mm CO.098 to 0.22 in.], use the magnetic switch
adjusting screw to make adjustments.
10. Secure the lead wire.
11. Install the safety switch.
