Assembling plunger assemblies
NOTE! Wash each part with clean diesel fuel before
assembly. Use new O-rings and apply grease to the
O-rings to prevent damage during assembly. Install
the O-rings in the sequence of A, B and C.
1. Install three O-rings on each barrel.
2. Install the pinion and upper spring seat on each
barrel by tapping with a hammer. Make sure the
pin inserted in the barrel is positioned at the
notch of the upper spring seat.
3. On the Plunger spring compressin jig, place the
assembly consisting of barrel, pinion and upper
spring seat, then install the plunger spring,
plunger and lower spring seat.
