Removing/installing immersion-

Remove the right side section of the fairing
(
46.8).

Important:
Disconnect ground lead from battery and insulate.

Warning:
Comply with safety precautions when handling or
working with fuel.
Disconnect the plug for the immersion-tube
sensor (1).
Release the retaining screws (arrows).
Take off the immersion-tube sensor with gasket.
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.

Tightening torque:
Immersion-tube sensor to fuel tank ................ 5 Nm
Calibrating the immersion-tube

Note:
The immersion-tube sensor has to be calibrated if it
or the fuel tank has been replaced.
Calibration allows the reserve fuel capacity of the
fuel tank to be adjusted to suit customer preferenc-
es.
Pour 4 litres (0.88 Imp. gal/1.06 US gal) of fuel (or
the quantity requested by the customer) into the
empty fuel tank.
Connect the MoDiTeC to the diagnosis connec-
tor beneath the saddle.
Call up the TOOLBOX menu on the diagnostic
unit and select the PROGRAM TANK RESERVE
item.
Follow the MoDiTeC instructions.

Rubber mount to frame ................................ 22 Nm

Renewing front left/right rubber
Remove the retaining screw (arrow) and take off
the rubber mounting.
Install and tighten the fastener for the rubber
mount.
Tightening torque:
KR160050
