Removing/installing clutch

– Take off mirror ( 00.22).

– Remove grip tube ( 32.5).

Important:
Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with
painted parts of the motorcycle, because brake fluid
destroys paint.
– Drain the clutch operating system (
•
Disconnect clutch line (2) from clutch lever
fitting (1).
•
Detach multifunction switch (4) from clutch lever
fitting (1).
•
Remove cover (5) from clutch lever fitting (1).
•
Remove clutch switch (6) from clutch lever
fitting (1).
•
Loosen fastener (arrow) for clutch lever fitting (1)
on handlebar tube (3).
•
Pull clutch lever fitting (1) off handlebar tube (3).

Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure. Pay particular attention to the following:

Important:
Make sure that lines and cables are correctly routed.

Note:
Note correct installed position of clutch switch (6).
•
The marks on the clutch lever fitting (1) and han-
dlebar tube (3) must be aligned (arrow).
•
Tighten the clutch lever fitting (1).
– Add brake fluid and bleed
( 00.62).

Tightening torque:
Fastener for clutch lever fitting ....................... 6 Nm
Line to fitting ................................................ 18 Nm
Mirror ........................................................... 20 Nm
