2.2 PAPER REVERSING MECHANISM

[A]
When the face-up mode is selected, the paper is sent downward into the
finisher unit towards the staple unit. The paper is transported at
180mm/second until the trailing edge of the paper passes through the copier
exit sensor (not shown). After the copier exit sensor is de-activated, the paper
transport speed will be increased to 500 mm/second.
When the trailing edge of the paper passes through the inverter sensor [A],
the transport motor will momentarily turn off. The transport motor will then
turn on in the reverse direction to feed the paper upward to the shift tray
(image down).
