The WGSW-24010 is a managed Ethernet Switch that can be controlled by the RS-232 console interface, telnet interface,
and Web interface. This chapter describer how to configure the Switch through these interfaces.
When you are ready to configure the smart functions of the Switch, make sure you had connected the supplied RS-232
serial cable to the RS-232 port at the front panel of your WGSW-24010 Switch and your PC.
3.1 Connect to PC's RS-232 serial port
Hyper Terminal
In Windows 98/2000/XP, launch "HyperTerminal", create a new connection, and adjust settings as below:

Baud per second: 38400
§
Data bits: 8
§
Parity: None
§
Stop bits: 1
§
Flow Control: None

3.2 Using the CLI

3.2.1 CLI Command Modes

Introduction
To assist in configuring devices, the CLI command-line interface is divided into different command modes. Each command
mode has its own set of specific commands. Entering a question mark "?" at the system prompt (console prompt) displays
a list of commands available for that particular command mode.
